"You can be a part of a space company and still contribute to getting a rocket to space without designing a rocket or being an engineer"

Michael Good, known by his call sign "Bueno," was born in Parma, Ohio, in 1962. After graduating from Brecksville-Broadview Heights High School, he started his journey in the space industry at his alma mater, The University of Notre Dame. There, he earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering.

Following his academic achievements, Good joined the Air Force, where he served actively for 25 years. During his time in the Air Force, he flew F-111 aircraft as a Weapons System Officer and conducted flight tests on the B-2 Stealth Bomber and F-15 fighters. He was selected as a NASA astronaut in 2000.

Michael Good's impressive career includes two spaceflights, one as an Air Force officer and one as a civil servant, totaling 25 days in space. Notably, he participated in the STS-125 Mission in May 2009, which aimed to service the Hubble Space Telescope. He also completed the STS-132 mission, which delivered an Integrated Cargo Carrier and a Russian-built Mini Research Module to the International Space Station.
